Ongoing support offerings
St Michael’s Catholic Primary School Lane Cove has a school counsellor available two days per week. Any parent can access the school counsellor by contacting the child’s class teacher, assistant principal or principal to discuss a referral.
An invaluable family support resource is SchoolTV. St Michael’s have a yearly subscription to the website which empowers our parents and teachers with credible information with realistic and practical ongoing support strategies. It provides parents with clear, fact-based information on the many challenges faced by today’s youth. Topics such as youth anxiety, cyber-bullying and others are clearly presented.
The Seasons Program is designed to support children experiencing grief and loss due to separation, divorce, death or trauma. Children participate in eight sessions with a trained tutor in a small group situation with other students.
